Nowadays, when someone mentions feng shui, people generally associate it with space clearing - or moving the furniture around.  In fact, it is more accurately likened to acupuncture for the home, office or business, as it is based on the idea of balancing energy or "chi", as the Chinese call it.

Ideally, the "chi" flows smoothly and evenly through the home or business, bringing with it prosperity and good fortune.
In Nature, "chi" rarely, if ever, moves in straight lines.  When it is made to flow this way, it moves faster and is considered unfavourable in comparison to the gentle meandering movement that a Feng Shui Consultant aims to create.  Feng shui in Chinese literally means "Wind Water".

Not only is the movement of the "Chi" in "feng shui important, so also is its quality.  Everyone is aware of the difference in atmosphere between a room or office that is hardly ever used and feels flat, and a family living room or a thriving business.

Feng shui Consultants are also aware of geopathic stress, i.e. electro-magnetic energy fields usually associated with underground water, fault lines, and mineral formations.  Long term exposure to geopathic stress has a negative impact on human health.  Therefore, it is essential to avoid or neutralize its effects.  Your feng shui Consultant will also advise you about offsetting electro-magnetic frequency pollution from computers and other high tec equipment. Feng shui can help in all of the following (and many more)

• Financial Improvements
• Improved health
• New Relationships
• Improved Relationships
• Enhanced Career opportunities
• Quality sleep
• Higher energy levels
• Fertility
• Inspiration-New ideas
• Thriving children
• Quality communication
• Personal Transformation

CHANGES FOR THE YEAR OF THE DRAGON FROM 3rd FEBRUARY 2012

After the 3rd February 2012, ensure that your wind chime is no longer in the East.  Hang this wind chime, or preferably a new one with 6 hollow-tubes, in the South East of your home (as measured from the geometric centre of your space).
Remove any mirrors and red objects as well as any round glass faceted crystal balls from the South East.
Make certain if you hang a wind chime that it is not in the same room as a mirror.  Also make sure, if this room has a flat screen TV, that the TV screen is not functioning as a mirror.  Should this be the case, DO NOT use a wind chime to disperse the Shar Chi.  Use a large green plant preferably with round soft leaves, instead.
NB Leave any small round convex mirrors that you may have on the outside of any bathroom doors that fall in the South Eastern sector.

Home and Office Moves from 3rd February 2012
For everyone, house and office moves 60° South East, 60° North West, and 30° South are best avoided, as is holiday travel in these directions.  If you must do a home or office move in one of these directions, balancing your space with feng shui is a good counter measure.
If you must travel in any of these directions, meditation or spiritual practice for ½ hour-1 hour every day is highly recommended.
Remember, if you are an atheist, then time spent alone in nature for ½-1 hour works too. Email us here for more information.

House Renovations

After 3rd February 2012, avoid renovations and building works in the East South East and South sectors of your home/building/land.
NB If you are completely renovating a property this does not apply, just do the Changes for the  Year.

Good Facing Directions in 2012
People with Kua Numbers 1, 3, 4 and 9, i.e. 'East Life' people, should avoid facing East South East, and North, even these would normally be good directions for them. Please note, East South East is a part of the South Eastern sector. If in any doubt, ask someone who can take accurate compass readings to check this for you. The meaning here is NOT East AND South East.

GENERAL FENG SHUI ADVICE

1.  Clear Clutter - Anything you don't want or love is taking up your energy as well as  your space.

2.  Light all 4 corners of your living room.

3.
  Do bathroom corrections:-
Keep the plugs in the sink and the lid of the toilet seat down.
Have as many green plants in the area as possible.
Have some red objects in the area.Place a small round convex mirror (no more than 5-6 cms in diameter)

4.  Round leaved plants are also an excellent addition to your home, though not in  the bedroom, as they compete with you for oxygen at night whilst you are sleeping.

5.  Check that you are not sleeping over geopathic stress.

This can affect your ongoing state of health and wellbeing.  If your health is of primary concern, ensure that you are not
sleeping over geopathic stress or vortex energy. A dowser can check this for you, remotely if necessary.

There are devices that correct geopathic stress and vortex energy can  be corrected with a  clear upright crystal.

However, it is always better, where possible to move your bed off these areas.
